QUERYS is a research-aiding tool for locating information at the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center document repository. While the repository is very efficient at locating a specific document, the researcher may have only a global topic of interest to begin his study. The repository will provide an index (Repository Automated Optical Imaging Index) of documents related to a topic of interest in electronic format. You may receive a list of several hundred or several thousand items, however. Using QUERYS you can convert the repository electronic index into a Microsoft Office document.
After QUERYS converts the index to a Microsoft Access database or Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, you can use the search, sort and filter capabilities of Microsoft Office to search for documents of interest. This will greatly improve your chance of getting the document you want the first time, saving you and the repository time and effort. When you have identified the exact document you need, you can make a formal request to the repository to obtain it.
QUERYS carries the NASA case number MFS-31217. It was originally released as part of the COSMIC collection.
